The Constitution of the United States created the greatest nation this planet has ever known. The principles contained in that document still apply today. In order to understand the Principles of Freedom and The Proper Role of Government you must look at the Constitution in context of the authors, our Founding Fathers. You must understand why each principle was chosen and what it would accomplish. When you put in that time you will begin to understand how the Founders created this the greatest nation.
In this Seminar you will learn 'What government is,' 'Why governments are formed,' and 'What the role of government is.'
You will explore the different kinds of governments and why one might be better than another.
You will learn what made this government unique from all governments before it. What made it successful? You will explore the horizontal and vertical separation of powers, the enumerated powers, why a written constitution and the numerous checks and balances, including some very important ones you probably haven't considered.
You will learn the responsibilities, limitations, and abuses of each Branch of Government.
You will experience the difference between a free market and a planned market.
Together we will explore taxes and their appropriate uses.
We will ask, 'How much should government do for the people?'
You will learn economics in one easy lesson and government's role in it; along with lessons on the effects of deficit spending, inflation, banking and the Federal Reserve.
We will explore the Constitution's protection of individuals against the potential tyranny of government.
And finally, we'll explore what it means to be a good citizen. Being a good citizen involves being educated, informed and involved. How do you do those things?
